Allylchloro[1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene]palladium(II) (Cat No.: M018757) is a well-defined palladium N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complex widely used as a precatalyst in cross-coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, and Buchwald–Hartwig reactions. The bulky diisopropylphenyl groups enhance steric protection and stability, while the NHC ligand provides strong σ-donating character, increasing catalytic efficiency. Its allyl and chloro ligands facilitate activation under mild conditions. This air-stable complex enables efficient formation of C–C and C–N bonds, making it valuable in pharmaceutical and fine chemical synthesis.
