8-Azido-ATP (8-N₃-ATP) trisodium(CAT: I040223) is a photoreactive nucleotide analog of ATP featuring an azide group at the 8-position, enabling both protein labeling and chemical conjugation. Commonly used for identifying nucleotide-binding proteins such as DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, it is also a versatile click chemistry reagent. The azide moiety allows for Cu-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with alkyne-functionalized molecules and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with DBCO or BCN groups, facilitating bioconjugation under mild conditions. Ideal for photo-crosslinking, affinity labeling, and nucleotide–protein interaction studies, this reagent supports advanced applications in chemical biology and proteomics.
