6-CEPN(CAT: I020999) is a potent RAS pathway inhibitor that exerts anticancer effects by targeting Icmt (isovalerylcysteine carboxymethyltransferase) binding sites, thereby blocking RAS activation. It effectively inhibits the proliferation of colon cancer cell lines such as SW620, SW480, HCT116, and HT29 in a dose-dependent manner. 6-CEPN induces cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase, along with autophagy and necrosis in RAS-driven tumor cells. At concentrations of 2.5–10 μM over 24 hours, it promotes autophagic cell death, and at 10 μM, it triggers necrosis in SW620 and HCT116 cells. 6-CEPN is a promising tool for exploring RAS-targeted cancer therapies and resistance mechanisms.
