4,4′-Diphenylmethane diisocyanate (Cat No.: M069572) is an aromatic diisocyanate composed of two isocyanate groups attached to a diphenylmethane backbone. This solid, off-white to pale yellow compound is a key raw material in the production of polyurethane foams, elastomers, adhesives, and coatings. MDI reacts readily with polyols to form rigid and flexible polyurethanes used in insulation, automotive parts, and furniture. Its favorable balance of reactivity, mechanical properties, and cost-efficiency makes it one of the most widely used industrial isocyanates.
