2,2′-Methylenebis(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol)(CAT: M068350) is a sterically hindered bisphenolic antioxidant widely used in the stabilization of plastics, rubbers, lubricants, and fuels. Its structure features two phenolic rings substituted with tert-butyl and methyl groups, linked by a methylene bridge, which provides excellent resistance to thermal oxidation and degradation. This compound effectively scavenges free radicals and inhibits peroxide formation, extending the shelf life and performance of polymeric materials. Due to its high molecular weight and low volatility, it is ideal for long-term stabilization in high-temperature and demanding industrial environments. It is commonly used in polyethylene, polypropylene, and elastomer systems.
