For research use only. Not for therapeutic Use.
(2-Hydroxypropyl)-γ-cyclodextrin (CAT: R035238) is a water-soluble derivative of γ-cyclodextrin, in which hydroxypropyl groups are substituted onto the hydroxyl moieties of the glucose units. Composed of eight α-(1→4)-linked glucose units forming a toroidal ring, HP-γ-CD features a hydrophobic inner cavity and a hydrophilic exterior, allowing it to form inclusion complexes with a wide range of hydrophobic guest molecules. This enhances the solubility, stability, and bioavailability of drugs, making it a widely used excipient in pharmaceutical formulations.
