For research use only. Not for therapeutic Use.
2-(Chloromethyl)oxirane;2-ethyl-2-(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol(Cat No.:L004701)is a multifunctional reagent blend often used in the synthesis of epoxy resins and polymeric materials. The first component, 2-(chloromethyl)oxirane (also known as epichlorohydrin), is a reactive epoxide used for introducing epoxy groups into polymers or for cross-linking. The second component, 2-ethyl-2-(hydroxymethyl)propane-1,3-diol (commonly called trimethylolpropane), is a triol used as a cross-linking agent due to its three hydroxyl groups. Together, they participate in forming thermosetting resins with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, making them valuable in coatings, adhesives, and composite materials.
