(1,5-Cyclooctadiene)bis(methyldiphenylphosphine)iridium(I) hexafluorophosphate(CAT: L023006) is a yellow to orange crystalline organometallic complex widely used as a homogeneous catalyst in organic synthesis. It features an iridium(I) center coordinated to a 1,5-cyclooctadiene (COD) ligand and two methyldiphenylphosphine ligands, with hexafluorophosphate (PF₆⁻) as the counterion. This complex is valued for its high catalytic activity and selectivity in hydrogenation, hydrosilylation, and C–C or C–X bond-forming reactions. Its robust ligand environment enhances stability and tunable reactivity, making it a preferred choice in fine chemical, pharmaceutical, and materials synthesis.
