[1,3-Bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2-imidazolidinylidene] dichloro(o-isopropoxyphenylmethylene)ruthenium(CAT: R025943), commonly known as a second-generation Grubbs-Hoveyda catalyst, is a highly efficient transition metal complex used in olefin metathesis reactions. Featuring an N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand and a chelating benzylidene moiety with an ortho-isopropoxy group, this catalyst offers excellent thermal stability, high activity, and functional group tolerance.
