1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene(Cat No.:95-63-6), also known as pseudocumene, is an aromatic hydrocarbon with three methyl groups attached to a benzene ring in the 1, 2, and 4 positions. It is a colorless, flammable liquid with a strong aromatic odor, commonly found in petroleum and coal tar. Widely used as a solvent, intermediate in dye and resin production, and in the synthesis of trimellitic anhydride, it is also an additive in gasoline to enhance octane rating. Due to its volatility, it is monitored as a potential air pollutant and poses health risks through inhalation exposure.
