(1α,1’S,4β)-Lanabecestat(Cat No.:I046088)is a stereoisomeric form of lanabecestat, an oral small-molecule inhibitor of β-site amyloid precursor protein cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1). By blocking BACE1, it reduces the production of β-amyloid peptides, a central pathological feature in Alzheimer’s disease. This stereospecific variant offers insights into the relationship between molecular conformation and inhibitory activity, supporting studies on drug–target interactions. Although clinical development of lanabecestat was discontinued due to limited efficacy, (1α,1’S,4β)-Lanabecestat remains valuable in preclinical research for understanding amyloid biology and optimizing Alzheimer’s therapeutic strategies.
