Dextromethorphan (Cat. No.:I006465) is a morphine-like cough suppressant with sedative and dissociative properties. It acts primarily by inhibiting the cough center of the medulla oblongata. The primary use of dextromethorphan is as a cough suppressant for the temporary relief of coughs caused by minor throat and bronchial irritations (such as those usually accompanying influenza and the common cold), and those caused by inhaled particulate irritants.
